Just Wanna Close my Eyes...

Oh my, oh my.

I’m so sleepy right now, just wanna close my eyes and let my dream carry me into a land of fantasy…but too bad I can’t do that.

Once I close my eyes and falls into a deep sleep.

Boom! I will be suspended for 3 days! Not just me but also those people who are close to me, meaning my seatmate left and right. Our office just come-up with this new policy:

· Automatic 3-day suspension for the person caught sleeping in cubes.

· Automatic 1-day suspensions for the people directly seated to the right and left of the person caught sleeping.

Huhuhu...GladyGirl just wanna sleep...

But now, I was totally amazed when I saw PR on my blog. I thought that it was just a mistake and happen that I opened other site that have a PR, so I checked it again and see that my blog do really have a PR 2!

Oh, I’m just too happy knowing that even if I wasn’t updating my blog on a regular basis my PR is back… Thank you so much Google for bringing my Page Rank back, Page Rank 2 to be exact! Google your simply the best!

5 Things to Ask Yourself Before You Buy
It’s been months since GladyGirl bought new clothes, shoes, bags and other stuff. I’ve been wondering too why I haven’t bought new things for myself since I went her in Metropolis. Maybe because I’m just too lazy to go out once I’m inside the house, I just watched DVD’s on weekends, or maybe I just don’t feel like going to the mall or go shopping. But these past weeks, deep inside of me I want to buy new clothes or things for myself. New pants maybe or a blouse and of course heels! I missed wearing my heels since I left all of them at our house. A red one maybe, lol!

Although I’m saving money I guess buying once in a while is not that bad after all. Money can't buy happiness, but it can sometimes buy stuff that makes you happy. Before you fork over your hard-earned cash for a purchase, determine whether you're investing in something that will truly add joy and utility to your life. Ask yourself:

1. Is this something I will use at least once a week? Will it be useful for at least a year?

2. Will this thing make me smile at least 10 times? Will it contribute to lasting memories?

3. Have I recently seen an ad for this item or experience? If so, am I secretly kidding myself that it will make me as skinny and giddy as the actress in said ad?

4. What am I willing to give up for this purchase? Would I be willing to eat ramen noodles for a week or give up my premium movie channel to finance it?

5. Can I wait until this goes on sale to buy it? Or at least 24 hours? (Hint: The answer to this one is always yes!)

10 Special Places to See Before You Die
GladyGirl really loves to travel, in fact GladyGirl have been to Bohol (March) and Boracay (June) this year. And that I also want to travel abroad; the only problem is…money. Well, I don’t have that much money to afford traveling abroad anytime that I want. If I won in lotto maybe I will, lol.

I also want to go to Maldives, Hawaii and Bali, Indonesia. Hope it will happen someday, I really want to go in Busuanga, Palawan, too. That will be my next destination or if not in Hong Kong.

Traveling is nice and very educating at the same time and it is also a form of relaxation, too. So what are the top 10 special places to see before u die?

1. Italy — The exquisite Villa Farnesina in Rome, hidden away in the Trastevere district, with frescoes by Raphael. It is said that while he was painting the villa, Raphael had an affair with the daughter of a nearby baker, “La Fornarina,” who became the subject of one of his most celebrated and enigmatic portraits. Situated on the west bank of the Tiber River (its name means "Across the Tiber"), the charming medieval neighborhood of Trastevere is a wonderful place to stroll. And in the evening, eat at one of the restaurants in the marvelous Piazza di Santa Maria.

2. Australia — Arnhem Land. The Northern Territory is still chiefly populated by Australia’s Aboriginal people, who have inhabited this lonely expanse of outback for more than 40,000 years. During that time, they have left an astonishing legacy of rock art. Virtually every suitable flat surface has been painted, and the area is like a vast outdoor art gallery.

3. Peru — The Inca capital of Cuzco in the Andes. Largely destroyed by the Spanish conquistadores, its fabulous Coricancha, the golden Temple of the Sun, was incorporated into the Church of Santo Domingo. Centuries later, it was rediscovered, hidden beneath a few inches of stucco. The gold had gone, but much of the extraordinary and evocative structure remained intact.

4. France — The tiny village of Ste.-Anne-la-Palud on the windswept Breton coast. Surrounded by the remains of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall (built to defend against the Allied invasion), it overlooks a couple of miles of glorious ocean-swept sand. Less known than neighboring Normandy, Brittany has many long and scenic beaches, and the Atlantic yields some of the finest seafood to be found anywhere in the world.

5. England — The lovely, unspoiled Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall, with its mysterious 13th-century church of St. Just in Roseland. The hauntingly beautiful church is set just above a serene tidal creek and is ringed by subtropical gardens. In April, the rhododendrons and azaleas bloom in every imaginable shade of red and purple.

6. Indonesia — The extraordinarily dramatic and picturesque gorge of the turbulent Ayung River in Bali, near the highland town and artist colony of Ubud. Ten-thousand-foot volcanoes survey a landscape of lush rice terraces. Balinese religion and mythology have constructed a vast and colorful spirit world. In the Ayung Gorge, even foreign visitors begin to sense the landscape’s invisible inhabitants.

7. Morocco — The road south from Marrakech, crossing the epic Tizi n'Test Pass in the Atlas Mountains then descending toward the fortified town of Taroudant at the gateway to the Sahara. The sinuous drive from the snowcapped peaks to rolling desert sands through small Berber villages is utterly spellbinding.

8. Namibia — The majestic valley of the Huab River, dominated by the huge massif of the Brandberg (the country’s highest mountain) and home to the famous desert elephant, which have provided endless opportunities for National Geographic’s photographers and filmmakers. More than twice the size of California, Namibia is an arid, sparsely populated country where savagely beautiful deserts extend to the breaking surf of the Skeleton Coast (named for the many shipwrecks caused by strong tides and ferocious winds).

9. Japan — The magical Zen garden of Ryoanji temple in Kyoto, constructed from weathered rocks and raked gravel. The capital of Japan from 794 until 1868, Kyoto is a treasure house of Japanese culture, with more than 2,000 temples and shrines. The garden dates to the late 1400s and contains 15 moss-covered stones, of which only 14 are visible at any one time. Only the enlightened can see all 15!

10. South Africa — The unbelievably pretty town of Franschhoek, founded in the 17th century by Huguenot (French Protestant) exiles. Just an hour’s drive from Cape Town, it is at the center of the South African wine industry. High, jagged mountains rear out of manicured vineyards. Even the inhabitants of Napa and Sonoma freely concede that the Franschhoek Valley is the most beautiful wine-growing area in the world.

Well, these are just many of the few places that many of us wants to go. So what’s your choice?

Four years ago someone promised me that we are going to the Eiffel Tower. I just hope that it will come true.

You can read more of these here.

I Heart Cheesecakes!

GladyGirl heart cheesecakes! Well, everyone does, right? Yummy. So let me give you a cheesecake recipe from Epicurious.com .

Toffee Crunch Caramel Cheesecake

Gingersnap crust
Nonstick vegetable oil spray
1 1/2 cups ground gingersnap cookies (about 7 1/4 ounces)
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons (packed) golden brown sugar

Cheesecake
4 8-ounce packages cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter, melted
5 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Caramel topping
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 cup heavy whipping cream

4 1.4-ounce English toffee candy bars (such as Heath or Skor), chopped

Preparation:

For gingersnap crust:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom of 9-inch springform pan with 2 1/2-inch-high sides with nonstick spray. Stir ground cookies, butter, and sugar in medium bowl until moist clumps form. Press cookie mixture firmly onto bottom of prepared pan. Wrap outside of pan with 3 layers of heavy-duty foil. Bake crust until firm and beginning to darken, about 14 minutes. Cool crust. Maintain oven temperature.

For cheesecake:
Beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl until smooth. Beat in butter, then eggs, 1 at a time, until just blended. Beat in vanilla. Pour batter over crust in pan. Place springform pan in large roasting pan. Add enough hot water to come halfway up sides of springform pan. Bake cake uncovered until filling is puffed around edges and moves slightly in center when pan is gently shaken, about 1 hour 10 minutes. Remove pan from water; remove foil. Place hot cheesecake uncovered in refrigerator overnight.

For caramel topping:

Stir sugar, water, and lemon juice in large saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat; boil without stirring until mixture turns deep amber, occasionally swirling pan and brushing down sides with wet pastry brush, about 9 minutes. Add cream (mixture will bubble). Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer until reduced to 1 1/4 cups, stirring occasionally, about 8 minutes. Chill until thickened but still pourable, about 15 minutes.

Spoon caramel over top of cake just to edges (do not allow caramel to drip down sides). Garnish top edges with chopped English toffee. Chill at least 2 hours and up to 6 hours.

Run knife around pan sides to loosen cake; release pan sides.

Confused…
Yes, I’m still confused whether to go or not to go in Manila to work. My mind is ready to explode...I’m tired, sleepy and so vulnerable at this moment. I don’t know what to do anymore.

My heart tells me not to. But if you are going to analyze things, I can say that it’s not that bad to go there since the offer was good and that my knowledge to this kind of work will enhance better and maybe give me more opportunity in the future.

So what’s pulling me behind?

I’m tired…just tired of everything.

Maybe I should just give it a try…then decide what the best is for me…

Twenty Nine...

What do I expect from myself now that I have turned 29? I'm thankful that I've reached another milestone in my life. But, seriously I don’t even feel that I’m 29 already. I just know that next year I’ll be turning 30! But, does age really matter? Well, not for me. Lots of people are telling me that I should get married and have a baby. But personally, I’m not even pressured of my age and I think that 29 are still young. Maybe I also think of me walking down the aisle but I want to do that wherein I’m so sure that I’m ready and I’m sure that the man I will marry is the man that I love. Not only that I love him but most importantly am that, that man loves me too with all of his heart and that he’s ready to surrender himself fully to me. Now that’s a love story! lol

So how do I celebrate my birthday? I celebrated it with my friends. We ride in a disco bump car (yes bump car! we are still a child at heart), watched the movie What Happens in Vegas – we enjoyed watching this movie, really love it – and eat lots of food. I really enjoyed!

June 15 is not only special to me but for every father’s in the world since June 15 is also celebrating Father’s Day. To all father’s out there…Happy Father’s Day!!!

Also many thanks to the Internet Marketing Department and Content Department for celebrating my birthday with me before my big daywink...

To all my family and friends who greeted me…Thank You!!!

It's my Birthday!!!

Today is the most special month and day of my life. I will be celebrating my birthday today. Fortunately my birthday falls Sunday this year together with Father’s Day, so I have all the time in the world to celebrate it. My first celebration was at the office yesterday together with my other officemate and she’s a girl, too. Much younger than me though. We had fun and lots of food was served. Everyone was so delighted since they had a free snack again; this makes my officemates alive, having a free snacks/food.

I don’t have any party at home since I decided to celebrate it with my closets friends, I don’t know yet where or what restaurant we are going to eat. But I definitely want to enjoy this day, so probably watching a movie and do some joyful activities with my friends will do. Too bad my best friend is not here to join my celebration since she’s in Qatar and will be coming home next year. At night I will celebrate my birthday with my Mom.

As for my last celebration, it will be in Bora on June 22-24! And it’s only been a week from now. I can’t wait for my Bora trip. But for now…it’s time to celebrate my birthday, today!!!
